TEST KNITTING CALL

Deadline: 11th August 2024

Sizes: A (B, C, D, E) (F, G, H, I)

Actual garment size measured at the bust: 32” (36”, 40”, 44”, 48”) (52”, 56”, 60”, 64”) / 81cm (91cm, 101cm, 112cm, 122cm) (132cm, 142cm, 152cm, 162cm)

Choosing your size and fit: The stated measurements are for the actual garment, choose a size with your desired ease, at least 1”/2.5 cm positive ease is recommended, up to 4”/10cm positive ease will work.

Yarn: Sample knitted in Garthenor Beacons (135m/50g). Any yarn that meets the gauge may be used.

Yardage: 320 (350, 390, 430, 470) (500, 540, 580, 620) grams / 864 (945, 1053, 1161, 1269) (1350, 1458, 1566, 1674) metres

Needles: 3.5 mm & 4 mm circular needles and/or DPNs

Needle sizes are recommended, choose a size needed to achieve gauge, the smaller needle should be 0.5 mm smaller than the larger needle.

Gauge: 22 stitches & 30 rows per 4” / 10 cm in cable pattern on larger needles after blocking. If you find that your flat and in the round gauge differ a lot, check both a flat and in the round gauge swatch.

Notions: 2 spare cables or waste yarn to hold the back and shoulders, at least 1 sliding marker.

Difficulty: Intermediate/advanced. As this pattern is aimed at experienced knitters, instructions for specific special stitches are given, but general technique instructions are not given in this pattern, however all techniques are standard and tutorials can easily be found online. Techniques required for this pattern include: german short rows, cable knitting, knitting in the round, knitting from charted instructions, a folded hem, and picking up stitches.

I plugged my numbers into a floor plan maker to get a better sense of how the Hayley Sweater would fit. The clear sizing info and ease recommendations are super helpful for picking the right one.

photo colorizer is perfect for bringing a new look to an old family photo. I love how it can restore those faded colors so naturally.

planliva is a great resource for sizing guidance, especially with that clear breakdown of positive ease. I'm curious how the Garthenor Beacons yarn feels in the finished sweater.

I've been researching the University of Georgia Tbilisi recently, and it seems to be one of the popular choices among international students. I'm curious to know how the academic experience and clinical exposure compare with other medical universities in Georgia. Would love to hear from current students or alumni.

I've been thinking about how an AI photo enhancer could really sharpen up my older product shots, especially ones like the Hayley sweater. It's a simple way to boost quality without much effort, and it makes a noticeable difference.
