Needle sizes are recommended, choose a size needed to achieve gauge, the smaller needle should be 0.5 mm smaller than the larger needle.
Gauge: 18 sts & 26 rows in 4” / 10cm in stockinette after blocking
Notions: 2 spare cables or waste yarn to hold the back and shoulders, at least 1 sliding marker.
Difficulty: Confident beginner. Techniques include knitwise and purlwise increases, picking up stitches and knitting in the round. All techniques are standard and tutorials can easily be found online.
Practicalities: The test knit will be run via google docs and discord. There will not be an instagram chat (it's just super impractical sorry!). All feedback should be given via the google doc so please make sure you are comfortable using docs, in addition questions can also be shared on discord.
everything from sizing to gauge and yarn choice is super clear which makes it feel very approachable even for someone not super advanced. I also like how practical and wearable the design looks, it feels like something you could style in everyday outfits, kind of similar vibe to Yellowstone Clothes with that simple but strong and timeless aesthetic.
