Intermediate/advanced. As this pattern is aimed at experienced knitters, instructions for specific special stitches are given, but general technique instructions are not given in this pattern, however all techniques are standard, and tutorials can easily be found online. Techniques required for this pattern include: German short rows, cable knitting, knitting in the round, knitting from charted instructions, a folded hem, and picking up stitches.
Knitted from the top down, starting by working the back and front flat in rows while shaping the neckline and armholes. The piece is then joined in the round to work the body to the desired length. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and the sleeve cap is shaped with short rows before the sleeve is worked in the round to the desired length. The sweater is completed with a folded hem on the V neck.
