Knitting Pattern Details

Sizes: A (B, C, D, E) (F, G, H) each with 3 bust size options to fit under busts from 20-48” / 51-122 cm and full busts from 20-68” / 51-173 cm. Details are given in the pattern. Choosing your size and fit: Choosing the right size is the most important part of knitting this bralette. As the bralette is designed to be tight fitting and provide some support it is essential that you study the sizing charts in detail and swatch carefully. Each under bust size has three full bust size options and measurements are provided for the under bust and full bust as well as the width and depth of the top portion of the bralette. Make sure you check all these measurements against your body before casting on to make sure you end up with a garment that fits you the way you imagined. As fabric will be very stretchy you may fall across multiple sizes in the size chart, in these cases make sure you look at all the measurements and consider how tight you’d like the top before picking a size. Yarn: Sample knitted in Sandnes Sunday (235m/50g)

To get the stretch needed for a tight-fitting top like this you will need to use a yarn with stretch, pure plant based blends or silk will not have enough stretch to achieve the tight fit of the design. A 100% wool or wool/cotton blend with a high wool percentage will work best. Yardage: 60 (70, 80, 90, 100) (110, 120, 130, 140) grams / 282 (329, 376, 423, 470) (517, 564, 611, 658) metres

Note: These yardages are for the recommended body length for all bust sizes, if you make the top longer you will need additional yardage. Sample Information: The brown sample is size D (small bust) worn on a 31” / 78 cm underbust and 34” / 86 cm full bust. The grey sample is size C (small bust) worn on a 28” / 71 cm underbust and 32” / 81 cm full bust. Both samples are knit in sandnes garn sunday and used 55 and 65 g respectively. Needles: 2.5 mm & 3 mm circular needles and/or DPNs Needle sizes are recommended, choose a size needed to achieve gauge. Gauge: Information given in pattern, multiple gauges are needed. Difficulty: Confident beginner / Intermediate. This pattern requires only basic knit, purl and simple increase stitches. The top is knitted flat and in the round from the bottom up. Due to the small gauge of the pattern this may be tricky if you have never constructed a garment like this. It is also worth noting that the gauge is very important in this pattern and choosing the correct size to knit requires more thought than usual.
